Proofline is designed around local storage. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your personal information.
This Privacy Policy describes how Proofline: Proof Tape (the “Application”) handles information
when you use our iOS app. The Application is provided under the copyright line
2026 Traffgrunt (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Bundle ID: proofline.tanehenare.
1. Information We Collect
Proofline does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location inside the app to use core features. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Display name you choose during onboarding or settings
- Proof stamps (event kind, time, person, object, note, proof flag)
- Derived object spines, people circle, digest, and lookup history you generate in-app
- App preferences (for example, demo-data flags and recent lookup queries)
2. How We Use Information
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to profile, share, or sell. All features — Tape, Spines, Circle, Digest, Lookup, and Settings — operate using data stored on your device.
3. Data Storage & Retention
Content remains in the app’s private storage space on your device. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us. Clearing stamps in Settings or deleting the app removes associated local data from that device.
4. Third-Party Content
Some screens may load optional decorative still images from public image CDNs (for example Unsplash) to illustrate objects or mood. Those requests do not include your stamp contents, people names, or notes. If an image fails to load, the app continues with on-device placeholders.
Sharing a recap text uses the system share sheet on your device. We do not operate a share backend.
5. Children’s Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because no personal profile data is transmitted to us, the app aligns with COPPA-style expectations for local utilities.
6. Your Control
You can edit or delete stamps, reload or clear demo data, and reset onboarding from Settings. Uninstalling the Application removes its local storage from your device.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we revise the effective date above. The core commitment — local storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice.
